Dog Rescue From Storm Drain

Rescue 22 was in service today in Penn Valley for nearly 3 hours while firefighters worked to free a dog that become stuck in a private residential rainwater management drain. Rescuers deployed a camera from the Township Sewer Department to inspect the drain, and then worked to free the dog while he fought with a racoon who coincidentally was also stuck. Our thoughts are with the K-9 as he recovers from both the altercation and resulting rescue.
